The sport of Archery depends on caring, capable coaches who introduce the sport to young archers. In the United States, archery coaches and instructors are certified under a single regulating body, USA Archery. The USA Archery certification program prepares coaches to help athletes successfully and safely develop their skills and abilities as they progress in competition. Instructors who possess a certification have been trained and tested in archery skills and safety.
Coaching is integral to every athlete’s performance, from beginner to elite level – and archery is no different. Since archery requires technical, physical and mental skills, coaches come from a wide variety of backgrounds and specialize in many different aspects of the sport.
* Coach Teresa is a USA Archery Level 4 National Training System Coach, and S3DA Advanced Instructor.
* Coach Indy is a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor-Trainer, S3DA Basic Instructor and Adaptive Archery Coach.
As coaches they are required to undergo a background check and complete training to become SafeSport trained. Both Coach Teresa and Coach Indy completed Safesport certification.
The U.S. Center for SafeSport is an independent nonprofit committed to ending all forms of abuse in sport. This includes bullying, harassment, hazing, physical abuse, emotional abuse and sexual misconduct and abuse in sports.
